Arindrajit Basu

Arindrajit Basu is a PhD Candidate at the Leiden University Faculty of Global Governance and Affairs working on the engagement of global ‘swing states’ within the international order in cyberspace. He is also a non-resident fellow with New America and a member of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's Digital Democracy Network. Additionally, he works as a digitalisation and human rights specialist consultant with the United Nations Development Programme. Previously, Arindrajit was research lead at the Centre for Internet & Society, where he researched India’s cyber diplomacy and data governance strategy.

He is a lawyer by training, holding a LLM in Public International Law from the University of Cambridge and a BA LLB (Hons) from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.
