Dr. Giovanni Faleg is Deputy Head of the International Relations, Policies, and Cooperation Division at the National Cybersecurity Agency of Italy. He is also a Senior Fellow in the Mediterranean Platform of the Luiss School of Government and an affiliate at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies.
Prior to that, Dr. Faleg was a senior analyst and project director at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (2018-2023). He worked for the World Bank (2014-2018), the Centre for European Policy Studies (2011-2018), and the Istituto Affari Internazionali (2013). He holds a PhD in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2014).
He is the author of many academic and policy-oriented publications on international and European security, including the monographs ‘The EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy: Learning Communities in International Organizations’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016) and ‘L’Africa geopolitica’ (Carocci, 2024).
