Matteo E. Bonfanti
Head of Division for International Relations and Cooperation, Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN)
Matteo E. Bonfanti is the Head of Division for International Relations and Cooperation at the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN). He is responsible for the agency’s bilateral and multilateral cybersecurity cooperation within the G7, UN, NATO, and OSCE, as well as other multilateral fora. He serves as ACN’s operational point of contact for the G7 Cybersecurity Working Group and as National Liaison Officer at ENISA. In his capacity, Matteo provides actionable advice and operational support to the agency’s chief executives on international security affairs.
Before joining the agency, Matteo served as senior specialist at the Italian Presidency of the Council of the Ministers. He was senior researcher at various national and international universities and research centers, including the Center for Security Studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH Zurich). He contributed to different European and international projects in the field of security and authored several publications in scientific volumes and journals.
Matteo holds a PhD in international law and politics from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa and a degree in political sciences from the University of Milan.
